Tested: Kagu Bosch Uni

A cross-check by Elektrobike

Elektrobike tests numerous bikes every year, amongst others in the categories of comfort, drive unit power, range and weight. Early in 2019, the Simplon Kagu Bosch Uni underwent a fact check. The results speak for themselves: peak performance almost across the board. It thus received a test rating of “very good”.

A detailed breakdown of the results

Full score – that’s what the low-entry bike with integrated tailwind has received for its looks alone: Drive unit and battery are seamlessly embedded in the overall design. The drive unit impresses with its first-rate performance, which is something the expert jury found especially remarkable. It is exceptionally quiet and fit for all kinds of environments – in the city, for everyday life or on the mountain. Optionally, a second 500Wh battery can be mounted on the rear rack – perfect for longer one-day or multi-day tours.

The Kagu Bosch Uni also demonstrates an above-average riding safety and agility, according to the Elektrobike experts: “For its class, it impresses with its exceptionally stable and quiet performance” – even under full load.

Thanks to the voluminous 26-inch balloon tyres, high riding comfort and optimum tyre traction are guaranteed. Gravel trails can be mastered without any problem at all. Speaking of comfort: With the integrated Vario seatpost, the saddle height can be adjusted quickly and easily at the touch of a button. The low entry on the Kagu Bosch Uni makes getting on the bike a lot easier, too.
