Tested: the Inissio Gravel

|Bikes & Tests

The Inissio Gravel impressed the testers of RennRad magazine with its high-quality frame and sophisticated features.

An all-round tip: the Inissio Gravel

A gratifying test verdict from RennRad for the gravel bike

In the RennRad test, the Inissio Gravel was closely examined. Its low weight was particularly impressive. One element that contributes to the lightness of the gravel bike is its carbon frame. The high-quality carbon fibres are shaped with a sophisticated layup and ensure low weight and a high level of stiffness.

Equipment details

  • frame: carbon
  • shifting system: Shimano GRX-RX600
  • wheels: Mavic Allround Pro Carbon
  • tyres: Schwalbe G-One Allround, 40 mm

Among the well-conceived equipment details are stainless steel protectors around the chainstay and brake mounts. Their task: to protect the frame from damage and dirt caused by tyre mud and when fitting the wheels. The Smart Headset contributes to the clean appearance of the bike. The tidy look is achieved via internal cable routing: The cables run from the handlebars down into the inside of the frame. Another advantage: The cables are protected from dirt.

In comparison – the lightest

With a weight of only 8.3 kilograms, the Inissio Gravel ranks right at the top of the RennRad magazine test field. The Mavic Allroad Pro carbon wheels are lightweight as well and have a positive influence on the bike’s acceleration behaviour.

Agile, direct and smooth on the road

Take a long top tube for a balanced geometry and add Vibrex technology to reduce vibrations: The result is a high level of riding comfort and balanced handling that is suitable for both racing and long distances. A big plus according to the expert jury.

Configure it yourself

As usual with SIMPLON, the Inissio Gravel can be individually configured. The test bike is equipped with a Shimano GRX-600 groupset, which the RennRad jury found to be of high quality and very balanced. Mudguards can be attached to the rear triangle and fork. An optional luggage rack extends the loading possibilities. Whether it’s for commuting to work or for a longer after-work tour: Equipped like this, the bike becomes a real everyday hero.

Verdict

According to RennRad, the Inissio Gravel stands out above all for its stiffness, agility and lightness, as well as for the riding comfort it provides.
